Vladimir Putin Dispels all Doubts Regarding APEC-2012 Summit in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. October 15. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Vladimir Putin expressed his content with the outcome of his official visit to China. According to the Prime Minister, the hectic working visit proved to be very fruitful and interesting.
During his meeting with media representatives, Head of Russian Government asked journalists if they liked Chinese cuisine. He also noted that Beijing as well as the whole China “is always changing”. Vladimir Putin mentioned Shanghai as an instance. There have been considerable changes in the city’s landscape due to the preparation for EXPO-2010 Specialized Trade Show.
“The Russian city of Sochi too will change,” – Putin stressed, - “We have already commenced construction in the run-up to Sochi-2014 event”. The Prime Minister told media that video cameras have been installed at the construction site to monitor the progress of work. “Once Olympics facilities are constructed we will view the video recording at a high speed and will see how the city was changing,” – the Prime Minister proposed.
In addition, Vladimir Putin emphasized that all construction projects in the preparation for APEC-2012 Summit, which is to be held in Vladivostok, will be accomplished on time. “After I took a look at the construction site I have no longer any doubts about it.” – he said during a press conference in Beijing.
He recalled that he had visited Vladivostok on Monday and took a trip around a number of construction sites, including the one located on Russky Island. “We have already settled almost all financing issues. The usual talk however is that some aspects would cost more, but these are minor details.” - stated Prime Minister.
In Beijing, during the talks Vladimir Putin noted that Russia and China argued themselves hoarse about all issues, but they always reach a compromise. “Finally, we reach an accommodation,” – said Putin today, during a meeting with journalists.
Also, the Prime Minister stated that he establishes “very good terms with General Secretary of the PRC Hu Jintao”.
During the Russia-China Forum on economic collaboration, Russian and Chinese businessmen have concluded a number of contracts to the amount of $3.5 bln, reported Vesti television channel.
