Preserve Siberian Tiger Campaign to be Held in Khabarovsk

The event is organized by the WWF’s representative office in Khabarovsk and Childrens Reading Center of the Far Eastern Scientific Library.

KHABAROVSK. February 16. VOSTOK-MEDIA – On Feb. 17, Childrens Reading Center of the Far Eastern Scientific Library will host the joint project of the WWF’s representative office in Khabarovsk and children’s reading centre “Preserving Siberian Tiger”. The event is dedicated to the Year of the Tiger.


A meeting with the Chairman of WWF’s representative office in Khabarovsk Aleksandr Kulikov will be held in the library as part of the event.


Elena Kuznetsova, the project coordinator, told Vostok-Media that at the meeting children will have a chance to learn about the habitat of the Siberian tigers, their population in Khabarovsk Krai, the measures taken by WWF to preserve the tiger population.


There will also be a quiz for children, a short performance titled “I’m not Afraid of Tigers Anymore”, illustrated book exhibition, and other events.


The meeting takes place at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Childrens Reading Center (25, Leningradskaya Street)
