Participants of the International Biatlon Competitions Came to Kamchatka

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKIY. April 16. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Participants and guests of the international biathlon competitions came to Kamchatka. They were met in the airport fo Kamchatka by the artists of the State Academic Koryak National Dance Ensemble ‘Mango’.
Maksim Chudov, three times biathlon champion stated that in spite of the difficult season he has enough energy to participate in the competitions.
Such famous sports men as Tomash Sikora, Michael Greiss, Andreas Birnbacher, Simon Furkad, Christoph Zumann, Domonique Landertinger will participate in the competition.
Alexandr Tichonov, the vice-president of the International Biatlon Federation stated that the competitions scheduled on April 17-18 should be held at the very high-level.
The next year Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy will qualify for Biathlon World Championship.

10:00 opening ceremony of the competitions at the stadium

12:00 sprint - 7.5 km (women)

14:30 sprint – 10 km (men)

April 18

12:00 pursuit – 10 km (women)

14:00 pursuit – 12.5 km (men)

15:00 awarding ceremony and closing ceremony
