VLADIVOSTOK. May 16. VOSTOK MEDIA – The Second Student Festival of Japanese Culture will be held today in Vladivostok.
The Japanese Center in Vladivostok reports that in Festival program there is an exhibition (works of Japanese calligraphy, origami, pictures and photos made by students and pupils, Russian-Japanese dictionaries composed by students), performances (modern and traditional Japanese songs, instrumental music, modern and traditional Japanese dances); quiz (questions about Japan), Japanese games, recitation of poems of Japanese poetess Esano Akiko.
The Festival could take place under the auspices of Japanese professors working in Universities of Vladivostok. The idea of the Student Festival of Japanese Culture creation is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Japanese poetess Esano Akiko (1878 - 1942).
The best works and performances will be presented in May 25 during XVth competition in the Japanese language which is traditionally held by Regional administration and prefecture Toyama.
