At the competition were present chamber choirs from Finland, Norway, Germany, Hungary, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, Check Republic and Sweden. Russia was represented by Khabarovsk Chamber Choir. They received an invitation a year ago and if it was just a festival to sing they would not decide to go. But it was a competition – place to share experience, knowledge, and strengths.
They represented music of XVI century, Italian composer, any modern composer and chamber composition on choice. Choir chose compositions of Khabarovsk musician Alexander Novikov. Highest estimation is given to a song “Komarochka”. Jury highly valued “Alleluia” made by the American composer Tompson. This symphony of love and sorrow, despair and hope could not pass without attention of the Italian auditory. They burst into a storm of applause and asked the choir to sing again.

Musicians came home impressed and inspired by the old culture of Italy and their successes at the competition. And they are not going to stop- new concerts ahead!
