After flooding of Terut village, the only road connecting populated locality with outer world is still not repaired

VLADIVOSTOK. December,16. VOSTOK-MEDIA – In the year 2004 the village Terut situated in Yakutia got flooded. From then, the only road connecting populated locality with other world was not repaired. The residents of this village can go out of the village only in the period from
December till March. The rest of time they are divided from the world. This issue was brought during the regular report of the regional government before population of Terut.
Vasiliy Mestnikov, Chief Magistrate informed about all the aspects of the authority work. There were discussed many issues such as industry, agriculture, social sphere, demographic condition of the population and so on. The residents of the village asked various questions and gave their own suggestions to the directors of companies and security agencies of the region. Beside the absence of the road, people are deeply worried about the problems in public utilities, privatization of land allotment and housing. These people expressed a great deal indignation towards the work of village authorities, namely, Alexander Koryakin, recently elected head of the village. They complained that as he and his deputy traveling somewhere out of the village many questions remains unsolved. At the same time the residents stated that such meetings are of great advantage, for there they can tell their own problems, claims and requests to the address of local authority.
