Rally at the Vladivostok Railway Station

VLADIVOSTOK. May 18. VOSTOK-MEDIA – About 300 people, including media representatives and curious persons gathered for a rally on Saturday on the Vladivostok railway station square. Initially, more than 5000 were expected to participate in the rally, but then the number increased dramatically.
The organizers of the meeting declared that preparation for the meeting had been lasting for almost 2 months, and there were no financial inflows in the action.
The protest action has been carried out peacefully. There were no conflicts during the meeting. Some of the appeals were considered politically incorrect and the gathered people were demanded by the Low enforcement officers, who maintained order, to fold it. The public could not but respond to the measure.
Many participants wanted to deliver their speech.
But majority of the participants touched on issues concerning the ban on the right-hand drive vehicles, rise in foreign made car import tax and petroleum overprices. In the course of the rally, people who asserted their citizenship, marked that the rising housing and utility services tariffs, reduction of military personnel, suspension of operations of defense plants located in the region results in recession in living standards.
