Hong Kong – Ideal Partner for Primorye in Asia

VLADIVOSTOK. May 18. VOSTOK-MEDIA – A business forum titled “Hong Kong: Your Ideal Partner in Asia” takes place in Vladivostok on May 20.

A spokesman for Russia - Hong Kong Business Association told Vostok-Media during the workshop the following topics will be discussed: “Hong Kong’s potential for development of business in Asia”, “Hong Kong as fund-raising center for Russian businessmen”, “The Prompt and Effective Trade Financing”, “Hong Kong: Your Main Multimodule Logistics Hub”, as well as other topics.

The event will be held under the chairmanship of Hong Kong Financial Secretary John Tsang and Chairman of Russia - Hong Kong Business Association Ivan Polyakov. Among participants in the forum are Hong Kong officials, representatives of Russian Ministry of Finance, Primorsky Krai authorities, businessmen and members of Russia-Hong Kong Business Association.

Hong Kong Business Association was established in 1995 under the aegis of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The association has a membership of 50 Russian and Hong Kong companies and focuses on promotion of the mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation. In 2009 the trade volume between Russia and Hong Kong totaled $1.5 billion.
