Samsung Medical Center to Give Training to Health Care Experts from Vladivostok

The sharing of experience will help Russian health care experts to upgrade skills and give rise to developments in areas such as oncology and urology in medical centers of Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. August 14. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Today, a working meeting between Elena Shchogoleva, Deputy Mayor of Vladivostok and the delegation of the Seoul-based Samsung Medical Center headed by Choi Han-yong, President of the Center, took place in the administration of the Vladivostok city. Vyacheslav Kushnarev, Head of International Relations and Tourism Department, Vladivostok city Administration, was also present at the meeting.
Samsung Medical Center is one of the biggest health care institutions in Korea, which successfully competes with leading world health care centers. There is a cancer detection centre, where latest technologies and state-of-the-art developments are being applied.
The Korean delegation and the representatives of the Vladivostok city Administration have discussed issues relating to co-operation, the exchange of the technologies for the diagnosis and treatment, primarily in the areas of cancer detection and urology. The prospective cooperation, among other things, includes training secondments for health care experts at the Samsung Medical Center. According to Elena Shchogoleva, the sharing of experience will help Russian health care experts to upgrade skills and give rise to developments in areas such as oncology and urology in medical centers of Vladivostok.
During the meeting Vyacheslav Kushnarev proposed to discuss the possibility of sending patients with oncologic diseases in desperate need, including children to the Korean hospital.
A bilateral cooperation agreement was signed following the working meeting.
