Amurskiy Conductors Are Going To Address Court

BLAGOVESCHENSK. 18 November. VOSTOK-MEDIA. The conductors of Amurskiy trains think that their salaries are cut off illegally. They are paid only for the travel time; train officers consider it the wrong situation. This problem is being discussed at the informal meetings but the situation is expected to go beyond the informal discussions. Initiative group that represents the conductors’ interests tell about problems that train officers face while not on the trains. Representing group says that they have to help load off the passengers, sort out the used bed clothes, clean the carriage, heat it, i.e. they are in charge even if the carriage is at the station. Conductors do all the work but it is not paid properly.
Besides, the conductors say that work schemes are composed in the wrong, they do not follow standards. As soon as conductor comes from the traveling he/she does not have enough time for rest and has to service next train.
Earlier, there was no institution to ask for help. Now, there are such institutions. The conductors are going to assert their rights and money, 15 thousand rubles; this is salary to cover all the work the conductors do.
Soon after the informal meeting representatives were going to discuss the situation with managers. But the head of carriage department did not want mass media to be involved and left the meeting. Now, the conductors want to call on the Labour Inspection. Then, representatives are going to sort out all necessary legal documents and address prosecutor and court. If managers respond to conductors’ needs, representatives will not address court.
