Conference on Development of Northern Indigenous Peoples to Be Held in Magadan

MAGADAN. February 19. VOSTOK MEDIA – The scientific conference “Contemporary problems of sociocultural development of Indigenous Peoples of the North” will be held at the Northeastern State University, Magadan, between March 27-28.

The web portal Kolyma.ru reports the conference engages the university professors and school teachers, scientists and workers of culture, regional authorities and representatives of municipalities, indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities, political parties and public organizations, etc.

The purpose of the conference is to carry out a complex analysis of sociocultural, economic and epistemological bases of the indigenous peoples’ life and to find out the way of their sustainable development in the new socioeconomic conditions.
