Australian Delegation Visit Magadan

MAGADAN. May 19. VOSTOK MEDIA – Today the governor of Magadan Oblast Niokolay Dudov has met with ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Australia in Russia Robert Tison. Robert Tison heads the delegation of Australian businessmen. The representatives of the companies specialized in geologic exploration, mining industry, minerals research and development of miner software numbered the delegation. A lot of them have work experience in other regions of Russia.
In Sunday Australian guests visited gold fields.
In Monday a presentation of minerals was held in Regional Administration. During presentation Australians familiarized with information about mineral potential of Magadan Oblast.
The elaboration of many fields is so profitable because of price increase on non-ferrous metals in international market. Magadan Oblast has all perspectives for this. Robert Tison said that Australia has a long history of mining industry development and a great experience in this sphere. He noted that they might be investors for Russian colleagues and they might help in the sphere of application of new technologies.
Niokolay Dudov noted that the delegation visit was not occasional. Magadan Oblast has great potential of economical development especially in mining industry. In Australia this sphere is known to occupy a leading position. That’s why the exchange of experience might be mutually beneficial. Sarkis Tarutin, press secretary of the governor said that the governor hoped that this meeting would contribute to study of cooperation possibilities, enter into mutually beneficially contracts and attraction of investments.
