Commander of Russian MES Helicopter was awarded China Memorable Medal for Contribution to Bilateral Relationships

KHABAROVSK. June 19. VOSTOK-MEDIA – On June 18, Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations helicopter aircrew commander Anton Lebedev has been awarded the China Service Medal for contribution to Russian-Chinese relationships.


The President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev met the President of Peoples Republic of China Hu Jintao in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, reported EMERCOM press service. During the meeting the President of the Peoples Republic of China handed commemorative medals to a number of Russian authorities for contribution to the strengthening of friendly Russian-Chinese relations.


The Senior Inspector-pilot of the Far Eastern Regional Center EMERCOM of Russia aviation department Anton Lebedev was awarded for help rendered during rectification of the consequences of earthquake that struck Sichuan Province in 2008.


Mr. Hu Jintao noted during the meeting that the noble act of the Russian people deeply touched the Chinese people and became the new symbol of friendship.
