Foreign Officials Push Rosneft to Put off Seismic Survey off Sakhalin

The seismic survey, scheduled to start this July, presents a major threat to the shrinking Okhotsk-Korean population of Grey whale.
VLADIVOSTOK. July 19. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The governments of twelve countries are pushing the Russian cabinet of ministers to persuade Rosneft to leave the seismic survey off Sakhalin until next year, WWF wrote on its website.
The seismic survey, scheduled to start this July, presents a major threat to the shrinking Okhotsk-Korean population of Grey whale, which are expected to come to Sakhalin this week.
