Master Steak Cooking Contest Took Place in Vladivostok

Champion Stadium is a perfect venue for holding cooking events - Expert

VLADIVOSTOK. October 19. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Delicious scent of spices and roast meat, sizzle of butter in a red-hot gridiron and clattering of knives – all this is something out of the ordinary for a sports complex. Yet, the Primorsky Krai Cooking Contest and Master Steak Championship is held in Champion Stadium for the second year in a row, reports press-service office of Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service.


“This is a perfect venue for holding such cooking events,” –says the president of the Far Eastern Restaurateurs and Hoteliers Roman Ivanishchev. “The place is comfortable, clean and bright. There is a perfect infrastructure for holding festival, championship and exhibition.”


Around 70 companies took part in the Primorsky Kari Food Trade Show, which is held in Champion Stadium together with the cooking festival. Visitors to the trade fair could not only take a look at dairy, meat, bakery, confectionary and vegetable products made by the Krai’s leading manufacturers but also taste and buy it. Residents of the city eager for table delicacies were lining up at firms’ pavilions to purchase products for three days in a row. Women preferred dietary products in health food pavilions.


“This is an excellent, pure olive oil,” – said a visitor admiringly. – “This cake too is very tasty. Just like the one I had in my childhood days. It is cooked according to the Soviet-era confectioners’ recipe and it contains no preservatives and colorants “.


While visitors tasted the exhibited food products, cooks from all over Primorsky Krai competed in Master Steak contest. All dished were tasted by the juries led by the chef-cook of the Russian Chef Guild Sergey Anikin. Incidentally, the stakes were evaluated for quality of grilling. Side dishes and spices were not taken into consideration.
