Oilmen and Gas Workers Help to Fight Against Poachers in Primorsky Krai
The local branch of the Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources will put up means for fight against poachers
VLADIVOSTOK. January 20. VOSTOK-MEDIA – “The construction of oil and gas pipelines in Primorsky Krai should not cause damage to environment”-stated Nikolai Shmakov, the Head of Department for Supervision for Nature Resources.
“The pipelines construction works inevitably causes damage to the environment, including wild animals. The construction engineering disturbs the life of animals; they have to shift the inhabitation. The road construction makes new forest plots easy-available, raises the rate of poaching. That is why we want to put up the means, given by multinational corporations as a payment for damage caused to environment, for the creation of operational groups.”-said Nikolai Shmakov.
