At the motherland the sailors were greeted by comrades-in-arms, family members and dear ones

VLADIVOSTOK. March 20. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The salving ship ‘Foty Krylov’ and medium sea tanker ‘Pechenga’ with subdivisions of naval infantry on board moored to the port of Vladivostok. They returned from a three months cruise. ‘Foty Krylov’ and ‘Pechenega’ within the group of Pacific Fleet ships were protecting civil ships from pirates’ attack in the Gulf of Aden ad Arabian Sea.
At the motherland the sailors were greeted by comrades-in-arms, family members and dear ones.
The crew of the ships had accomplished the tasks successfully and the executive officer of the Navy Pacific Fleet, Vice Admiral Alexandr Tolstyh congratulated them. The member of the crew were handed certificates of merit, awarded a commendation, given gifts. As tradition demands every crew was given a grilled young pig.
The vessels crossed two oceans totaling in 7,000 miles.
The tanker ‘Pechenga’ fueled combat ships of Pacific, Baltic and North fleet six times. The crew of the’ Foty Krylov’ saw after the technical condition of our vessels attentively and regularly, carried out diving examinations and also accompanied freed from pirates captivity foreign vessel.
Soon they will be replaced by a service screen unit that will accomplish the safety of shipping in the Gulf of Aden.
