According to a SuperJob.ru survey, nearly every third respondent would cast his vote for Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

MOSCOW. July 20. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The SuperJob.ru recruiting website has conducted a survey among 1,800 respondents of various walks of life to see whom they would vote for if the presidential elections were held this Sunday.

According to the survey, nearly every third respondent would cast his vote for Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. The pollees maintain that leadership skills and the virile character of the former head of state would enable him to regain the presidential seat. “Rational, just, skilled, sensitive and an outstanding politician,” commented one pollee. I like Putin pretty much. Besides, he has received a worldwide acclaim. Even Hindus in Barcelona say that Putin is president of Russia,” said another respondent.

The study showed that only 14% of respondents would vote for Dmitry Medvedev. They said they feel confidence in, and respect toward, Dmitry Medvedev, and that they support his political agenda.

Candidates from opposition parties would receive 20% of votes, according to the survey. The majority of the pro-opposition respondents expressed strong disapproval of the United Russia party. “I’d vote for Zhirinovsky (Liberal Democratic Party) or Zyuganov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation),” said one pollee. “I’d also consider casting my vote for Just Russia,” he said.

A considerable percentage of respondents (21%) would skip the elections. “Vox populi has little weight when it comes to decision-making process,” said a respondent. “Whether you vote for one candidate or another the result will be all the same.”

The rest 14% were undecided about who to vote for. Some said they feel distrust of authorities and the election process. “There won’t be any actual presidential election. It’d be just a show to “appoint” a new president.”
