Vladivostok Avia may merge with Sakhalin Airlines.

MOSCOW. April 21. VOSTOK MEDIA – Rostekhnologii refused from its plans on affiliating Vladivostok Avia, Dalavia and Sakhalin Airlines. But Aeroflot that pretended for unification with the Far Eastern companies didn’t manage to reach the set goal. The Ministry of Trade and Economic Development opposes to the plans of Aeroflot arguing the affiliation can lead to monopolization of the internal market, the Kommersant newspaper reports.
The deputy minister of transportation Boris Korol has recently said the Vladivostok Avia, Dalavia and Sakhalin Airlines will be transferred to OJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines. Korol says the respective decree of the president and provisions of the government are already prepared and are coming through final adjustments in responsible ministries.
Nevertheless the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development said that it would agree with transfer of Dalavia only. The cahnges must be made under condition of separating the Khabarovsk airport from the company’s structure. The ministry didn’t discuss the proposals concerning transfer of Vladivostok Avia and Sakhalin Airlines and does not plan to adjust them.
The ministry proposed to create an alternative air company on the base of Vladivostok Avia that will affiliate Sakhalin Airlines. The future company will operate regional flights not posing interest to Aeroflot.
