Daltour-2009 Opens in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. May 21. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The 13th international tourism exhibition ‘Daltour-2009’ opens in Vladivostok today. The Department for International Co-operation and Tourism of Primorskiy Krai is one of the organizers of the Exhibition. Daltour is the largest and the most representative exhibition in the Russian Far East. Traditionally, it will feature nearly as many as 100 companies. They are large tourist companies, recreation facilities, universities training personal in the area of tourism and hospitality and insurance companies from all around Far Eastern region and Asian-Pacific Region countries. 30% of applications for participation in the exhibition are filed by companies from Primorskiy Krai. There were also many companies from China.
The main feature of Daltour-2009 will be the presentation of tourism potential of Primorskiy Krai municipalities. The International Research and Practice Conference ‘Tourism in Primorskiy Krai: regional specific features and future development’ will take place in the framework of the business program of the exhibition. The issues concerning specificity of tourism development in Primorskiy Krai and also some general problems relating to regional aspects of tourism industry in the Russian Federation will be discussed at the conference.
Besides, a counseling center will operate at the exhibition for the first time. Thus, everyone may receive the best opinion as to the issues concerning procurement of visas in Republic of Korea, Japan, China, and have a lawyer’s counsel.
We remind that a press-conference featuring Oleg Scheka, the director of Department for International Co-operation and Tourism of Primorskiiy Krai, the representatives of the non-profit partnership ‘TOMI ‘Window on Eurasia’, the Primorye branch of Russian Tourism Industry Union, Russian Hotel Association will take place today, on May 21, 11:00 am, in Svetlanskaya street, 103 (Vladivostok circus).
Official opening of exhibition Daltour-2009 is scheduled on 12:00 am.
