VLADIVOSTOK. May 21. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Today, the Arsenyev State Museum will hold an opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Exhibition project. Trade and Economic Council of Hong Kong, the Primorsky Krai Administration and Hong Kong Tourism Bureau of the Arsenyev Museum are organizers of the event.

Hong Kong and Vladivostok are trade and transportation centers, geocultural crossroads with a multinational population and an amazing energy. It has been well said that the two cities are just like brothers. Indeed, the two port cities resemble each other a lot: they are situated by the sea, history of their development and the present day scheme of life are very much alike. Still, Vladivostok residents regard Hong Kong as a very remote city, mostly due to the lack of the direct air links.

The Hong Kong Exhibition aims to shorten the long distance between the two cities. The public will be presented 54 amazing photographs depicting one of the largest trade centers in Asia and in the world.

The event aims to further strengthen the bilateral ties between Hong Kong and Russia. The organizers are looking to attract a vide range of visitors beginning with authorities and businessmen and ending with representatives of various NGOs cultural organizations.

The opening ceremony will be attended by a delegation of Hong Kong Ministry of Finance led by John Tsang, Primorsky Krai officials and Arsenyev Museum officers.

The event opens today and runs till June 10, a spokesman for the Arsenyev State Museum told Vostok-Media.
