Khabarovsk. May 21. VOSTOK-MEDIA - In the Far East, a major project to increase the capacity of the Baikal-Amur Mainline was launched. This was stated by the presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District and part-time minister for the development of the Far East Victor Ishayev during a press conference on the first anniversary of Minvostokrazvitiya. Because of the magnitude of the task to upgrade the road leading from the shores of Lake Baikal to the seaports of the Khabarovsk Territory, code name BAM-2 was given. It will require more than 500 billion rubles of investments.
