VLADIVOSTOK. October 21. VOSTOK-MEDIA - Liberal Democratic Party has come forward with a proposal to abolish the Daylight Saving Time clock change and to use Standard Time plus one hour instead.
The ITAR-TASS reports that if enacted, the measure would apply either to the whole country or its certain parts, such as Primorye or other regions of the Russian Far East.
In November of last year, President Dmitry Medvedev instructed legislators to consider reducing the number of time zones in Russia, as well as the economic effects of daylight saving time, Gazeta.ru wrote.
