Vladivostok City Hall Says "No" To Rising Transport Costs

VLADIVOSTOK. 21 November. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Sufficiency of higher price on transport does not seem evident. Official declaration of new transport prices is made by Tariff Department of the local administration. The commission considers thoroughly the project and evaluates it. However, the analysis of the current situation shows the price should be either left at the 11 rubles or drop.
Economic factors that evaluate the higher price sufficiency are less petrol price and financial substitution of social preferences. In fact, since January, 1 all privileged will have to pay money on transportation. According to statistics, 200 citizens are known to have social privileges (veterans, donors, disabled and etc.). The authorities suppose that the received finances will be invested into technical modernization of the city transport and improvement of service.
No doubts, problems of the transport companies have to do mainly with the technical deterioration of transport.
Demands on higher price prove the local Administration that Vladivostok needs a new system of transportation in which the tariffs are economically sufficient. Besides, municipal transportation balances the market of the transportation service.
