Sergey Darkin has flown to Peru before the protest action

VLADIVOSTOK. 21 November. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Saturday, 22, will see a protest action of all Russian motorists who do not support a governmental decision to raise an import tax on used cars.
The governmental decision signed by the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sees imposing interdicting taxes on import of auto bodies. It means that since the decision enacted import of so-called “constructors” – vehicles that are supposed to be imported by parts – is not considered legal anymore.
Besides, the governmental commission advised to raise import taxes on foreign vehicles. It means that the significant part of the local economy is expected to rise in price. This will make harm to the local customer, they will have to pay more while purchasing imported vehicles, and the local business.
A protest action will take place in Vladivostok at 10.00 near the factory “Zarya”. Then the column will head towards the central square of the Fighter for the Soviet power. At 12.00 all participating motorists are asked to turn on the headlight and make a beep sound at noon.
Activists have taken a decision to write a requesting note to President.
It is doubtful that the request will be heard by the central government. President Dmitriy Medvedev and the local governor Sergey Darkin left for Peru. At Lima the will participate in the APEC summit of Leaders and Governments.
