Toyota Leads in Russian Foreign Car Market

VLADIVOSTOK. April 22. VOSTOK MEDIA – Japan’s Toyota leads among foreign car producers in Russia in the number of registered cars, the Avtostat statistical agency reports. The number of Toyota cars in Russia accounts for 1.66 million. The share of Toyota reaches 20% of the national car fleet. Almost two thirds of the trademark (64.8%) are concentrated in the Far East and Siberia. The large majority of the registered cars have right-hand steering wheel (Russia has right driving) and were imported after use from Japan. The second and third places are taken by Nissan (712 000, 8.6% of Russia foreign car fleet) and Ford (659 000) respectively.
