Yakutia to Sell Sakhatelecom Stocks
49% of the stocks will be sold in June of 2008.
YAKUTSK. April 23. VOSTOK MEDIA – 49% of the Sakhatelecom OJSC stocks owned by the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) will be sold in June of 2008. The Yakutia Ministry of Property Relations has initiated preparation to auctioning the stocks. At present time the market cost of the holding is being estimated.
Press service of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic reports, in December of 2006 the Republic auctioned 51% of the Sakhatelecom stocks. The shares were purchased by Dalsvyaz OJSC (Far Eastern telecommunications operator). Later the Dalsvyaz management board said about its plans on increasing its holding of Sakhatelecom shares to 100%.
In 2007 clear profit of the Yakut company grew by 127.3 million rubles and accounted for 350 million rubles. In past year Sakhatelecom invested 379 million rubles in its infrastructure.
