Heathen Day of Autumnal Equinox
VLADIVOSTOK. 23 September. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Heathens from Primorye are celebrating Day of autumn equinox. This is one of the main sun holidays that was celebrated by our predecessors in honour of solstice and equinox. They celebrated it dancing and singing; one of the attributes was to bring crops and harvest.
Ancient celebration had a double meaning: spiritual and earthen.
In its earthen meaning the holiday was to celebrate harvest and crops gathering and its spiritual side meant day of Gods moving to Svarga and coming Gods from Naviev world.
Mother Earth is coming to a standstill waiting for autumn rains and bad weather.
Time of Mara-Marena is in the air.
