Russian Committee for Fisheries will raise the number of fishery inspectors by 50 % and create the special police detachment
PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKIY. February 24. VOSTOK-MEDIA – “Fisheries inspection forces are under creation now.” –said Andrey Krayniy, head of the Committee for Fisheries. According to his words, the Russian Government ruled that the number of inspectors will be increased by 50 % from 3 to 4.5 thousand officers. Also 200 outboard engines and several unmanned aerial vehicles will be purchased for carrying out fisheries inspection. Besides the fisheries inspection officers will get the right to carry service guns.
The analog of SWAT is being created at the Moscow-Oksk territorial administration. This mobile detachment consisted of 20 professionals will fight against poachers in dangerous regions, namely in Dagestan where the poachers catch sturgeons on a commercial scale.
