Up to 4 meters of snow piled up on the slopes of the Viluchinsky volcano
PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKIY. March 24. VOSTOK-MEDIA - Up to 4 meters of snow piled up on the slopes of the volcano Viluchinsky. Only for the last day offs 130 cm of snow was added to the already existing in at the foot of the volcano. In connection with this, the avalanche hazard was announced at the territories of Paratunka River and Viluchinsky volcano.
The recent cyclonic storm that was raging during the past day offs is not the last one and the avalanche situation in the mountains may deteriorate in the nearest future. Tourists are strongly recommended to keep from going to highlands.
