Inflation Called the Most Urgent Problem of Russia

VTsIOM released a new report on the Russia’s topical issues.

VLADIVOSTOK. April 24. VOSTOK MEDIA – 67% of the Russians call inflation the most urgent issue for the country and for themselves personally. In 2006 the percentage was lower – 55%.
VTsIOM (the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center) reports, for the last two years the concerns of Russians have significantly grown in regard to housing utilities (from 34% to 44%), pension system (33-38%), public healthcare system (19-31%), education (10-20%), corruption (17-30%) and environment (20-26%).
The issues that remain burning are fight against criminality (34-36%), demography (27-28%), influence of oligarchs on the national economy and politics (20-23%) and low life standards (20% in polls of both years). The Russian became less concerned with unemployment: two years ago 55% of the polled considered it an urgent problem, today – only 25%.
