The resident population of the Saperny peninsula, forming part of Russky Island will total 12,000 by 2012

VLADIVOSTOK. April 24. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Construction development proceeds at a fast pace across Russky Island. - Bridge construction camp support base was created at Pospelov peninsula, the bridge over East Bosphorous strait is under construction and cargo handling terminal’s berths are also being constructed. Soon the construction commences in Ajax bay.
Active utilization of the part of Russky Island in the framework of subprogram ‘Development of Vladivostok as center for international cooperation in Asian-Pacific countries’ implies creation of a new engineer infrastructure of Russky Island.
The project of Sapernyi peninsula (Russky Island) planning provides for construction of the Far East Federal University (FEFU). The university will include Humanities academic building (During holding of the summit it will be used as international conference center) with total area 85 thousand square meters and 40 thousand sq.m. education-and-research center. There will be also constructed hotel complex capable of 5.5 thousand rooms (part-time residence dormitories), park belt, utility mains routes, zone of transport infrastructure as well as communal zone.
According to the project planning the resident population of the Saperny peninsula, forming part of Russky Island will total 12,000 by 2012.
