‘Days of Peace in the Pacific’ Festival to be Staged in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. August 24. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Primorye is preparing to stage a series of WWII commemorative events. Days of Peace in the Pacific Festival, which is scheduled to be held in Vladivostok on Sept. 4, is among the highlights of the festive program.

The festival will be staged at three locations: the Central Square, Sportivnaya Gavan and Admiral Fokin Street, a Vladivostok Administration spokesman told Vostok-Medfia.

A carnival parade of theater companies and performers from across Primorye and China will be held along Svetlanskaya Street prior to the opening of the festival.

Following the opening of the festival at the Vladivostok downtown square, brass bands will perform at the three venues.

In addition, the event includes games, contests, quizzes, exhibition of arts and crafts and master-classes.

At the close of the WWII commemorative events, a large concert and an award-giving ceremony will take place.
