Results of “Youth Parliamentarism in the XXI century”

KHABAROVSK. 23 October. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Winners were announced to be a youth social chamber in the Legislative Duma of Khabarovsk. This competition “Youth Parliament in the XXI century” is dedicated to 15th anniversary of Federation Council creation. Ceremony will take place on October, 29 in the upper chamber of Parliament in the framework of youth parliament forum “Federation Council and future of parliamentarism in Russia”.
Competition was announced in last December and had three sections “My legislative initiative”, “Best social project” and “Society and People”. Its goal is forming legal culture in the youth generation, widening participation of youth regional social organizations in popularization of parliamentary ideas.
Krai youth parliament made their report called “Our care is for veterans”. This action was started in March 2007. This year young parliament members made a visit to 10326 veterans. Young people helped 1658 veterans overcome their social problems. 58 veterans could get a legal advice.
Action has become unlimited. It is in the main program of Youth Parliament for 2009.
Due to work of Youth Parliament there have been established more youth organizations in municipal bodies of Krai. Now there are 58 organizations.
