Tiger Marathon Started in Vladivostok
The marathoners will run through all the protected natural areas in the south of the Russian Far East.
VLADIVOSTOK. February 25. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Tiger marathon has started in Vladivostok. 18 nature reserves and three national parks of the Russian Far East are participating in the event. Tiger through the Eyes of Children awarding ceremony became the first in a series of events held as part of the marathon.
The marathon organizers said 30 schoolchildren from Vladivostok, Khasansky Region and Nadezhdinsky Region, who became the winners in the competition, received valuable gifts. The best entries are presented at the exhibition.
The marathon will run through all the protected natural areas in the south of the Russian Far East and finish up in September at the site of the upcoming International Tiger Preservation Summit in Vladivostok. Marathon runners will carry a banner with a picture of Siberian tiger.
