Foreign Investments Rate Grows in Khabarovsk Krai

KHABAROVSK. March 25. VOSTOK MEDIA - $248 million were invested into the economy of the Khabarovsk Krai by foreign companies in 2007. This sum is 14% higher than in 2006. 50% accounts for capital investments.
The share of foreign investments accounts for 10% of all the financing sources. The last year was remarked by growth of foreign portfolio investments. For a year a share of foreign portfolio investments has grown from 6 to 36.4 %. The European countries provided the bigger part than the Asian-Pacific did.
For the last 3 years the Khabarovsk Krai has received twice more investments than for the previous 15 years. This trend is explained not only by improving socio-economic situation in the country, bur also by growth of the regional investment rating. According to the estimates of world economic agencies in 2007 the Khabarovsk Krai reduced its investment risks and moved from the 147th to 35th position in the rating of Russian regions.
