Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. 25 August. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Recently Administration held the second town planning department meeting. At the meeting were presented: city mayor Igor Pushkarev, officials from Krai and City Administration, leading architecture designers and project leaders from Primorye.
At the meeting one question has been discussed: construction place of Opera and Ballet Theatre. Among 6 variants the most interesting became a territory in the centre of Vladivostok closely with the building of local Administration and a place on Sportivnaya Naberezhnaya between sport complex “Olimpiets” and yacht-club “Pacific Ocean”. Both variants suppose to acquire a sea territory covering it up with rocky pieces. According to the architecture plan theatre will include two halls with 1200-1500 places and a chamber.
New parking lot will be located nearby theatre accommodating 1100 cars.
As the result of the meeting, participants agreed to vote for a variant of Sportivnaya Naberezhnaya.
