II International Flower Festival on Sakhalin

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. 25 September. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Festival of floristic, ikebana and exterior design in the framework of the project “Flowers of Sakhalin” opens today in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Three day floristic competition takes place in the art museum. There are presented works of 30 Sakhalin florists and 5 from Japan.
Jury panel is presented by company “Salvador’s Garden’ from Moscow, pavilion “Gardening and Planting” of All-Union Exhibition Centre, Secretary of National Florist Guild, florists from Vladivostok, Irkutsk, and honoured Master of Ikebana Art Alexander Kudryashov from Uzhno-Sakhalin.
Citizens and visitors of the city can also watch the process of ikebana creation. Complete masterpieces are open for public at 17.00 at the exhibition “Sakhalin – Isle of friendship”.
September, 27, gala-concert of National Culture Festival “Commonwealth” is held at Lenin square where masters of floristic art will show their works of garments and adorning bouquets. In the evening sky will be coloured with myriads of firework glazes.
