Tiger Day Became Official

VLADIVOSTOK. 25 September. VOSTOK-MEDIA. In 2008 Education and Science Department of Primorskiy Krai’s Administration, Children and Youth Centre of Primorskiy Krai and public environmental organizations ratified “Provisions on holiday action “Tiger Day” for schoolchildren in Primorskiy Krai”. It means that since 2008 Tiger Day is the official holiday in all Primorye. Luchegorsk and Ternei celebrated it on September, 13, Novopokrovka and Kirovka – on September, 20. On September, 27th celebration “Big Cats of Primorye” will be held in Ussuriisk. September, 28th is the celebration day in Vladivostok and township Chuguevka. Lazo and Partizansk will celebrate in October.
On September, 28th Vladivostok will honour “big cats” with carnival movement on Okeanskiy prospect from Pokrovskiy Park to the central square. At 13.00 celebration ceremony will opened officially. During the day children wear cat costumes, orange and black stripes symbolizing colours of the animal. Stage will represent works of dancing bands, music groups and other creative companies. The most active participants will be awarded with prizes.
