Stuck yacht “Sea Wind” was towed to the Japanese port Shitsukari

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKIY. 25 November. VOSTOK-MEDIA. The Russian yacht “Sea Wind” was wrecked near the Japanese coast of the Hokkaido island. It was towed then to the Japanese port Shitsukari. Crew team is being now connected by a satellite. Captain Andrey Polyanskiy said that the Japanese salvors towed the yacht to the port even though the waves were about 6-7 m high.
In the port yachtsmen are trying to repair the yacht to continue with the journey. Both crew members feel well now though experienced a stress.
Sailing yacht became uncontrollable in the storm conditions at the distance of 30 miles from the coast line of Hokkaido. Captain signaled to the Japanese coast guards. The yacht “Sea Wind” was constructed in German in 2002 and was going from the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy to the Japanese port Hakodate. The yacht length is 12 m, tonnage is 5.3 tones. In May the yacht was modernized with special equipment including screw propeller with converting vanes and multifunctional radar system.
