South Korea Headed by New President

Lee Myung Bak had been running the Hyundai Motor Company for 30 years and got the nickname “Bulldozer” for his resoluteness.

The new president of South Korea Lee Myung Bak was inaugurated on February 25, Vostok Media reports.

The 66-year politician became the 10th president of the country and the first who came to that post from large business.

Lee Myung Bak sees economic development of Korea as his primary task. He plans to implement an ambitious program of reforms, the so-called plan of 7-4-7. The president promises that for the next five years of his presidency economic growth will account for 7% a year, annual income per capita will double and reach $40 000 and the South Korean economy will take the seventh position in the world rating (now it occupies the 13th line).

Vladimir Putin invited the South Korean President to Russia. During the talk with Lee Myung Bak the Prime Minister of Russia Viktor Zubkov congratulated him with inauguration and transmitted the congratulations on behalf of President Putin.
