Protests Spread in China
The number of attacks on representatives of the central administration is growing.
Mass protests in Tibet started on March 10 with the demonstrations dedicated to the 49th anniversary of uprising in Lhasa that ended with the exile of the Dalai Lama. 18 civilians and 1 policeman were killed during the clashes. The Dalai Lama government reported at least 100 men had died in the clashes.
Xinhua reported on Monday, one policeman died and several were injured during the unrest in a county of the Sichuan province. Clashes in a neighboring county ended with a surrender of 380 demonstrators to the police.
