Russian Toyotas Will Come into Market on March 31

The cost of Russian-assembled cars is expected to be lower the Japanese-produced models.
March 26. VOSTOK MEDIA – Toyota announced that since March 31, 2008 it starts sale of the Toyota Camry model produced on its factory in St. Petersburg. The cost of the Russian-assembled cars is expected to be cut by approximately 9%.
Prices for the Camry models will range from 790 000 rubles, said in a statement on the company’s official website (www.toyota.ru).
According to earlier reports the volume of production of the Toyota factory near St. Petersburg will not exceed 20 000 cars per year. The projected capacity of the factory is 50 000 cars per year with a possibility of increasing the volume till 200 000 cars.
