DPRK Sets Russian Seamen Free

Lida Demesh will arrive in Vladivostok on February 28.

The crew of the ship Lydia Demesh detained by the DPRK coast guard on February 23 is set free now.
The Vladivostok Rescue and Coordination Center told Vostok Media all the 25 crew members are alive and healthy. Today the ship’s captain said the vessel had left the port of Kimchaek and set the course on Vladivostok. The ship is supposed to arrive in the Russian port in the morning of February 28.
The North Korean patrol detained the Russian ship Lida Demesh when it was carrying a consignment of cars from the Japanese port of Hamata to Vladivostok on February 23. According to some reports, Lida Demesh violated the North Korean state border because of the storm.
