Russia Criticizes USA and European Countries in Case of Georgia
Representative of the Russian Federation in the United Nations notified in advance that suggestion of USA and European Countries to supply Georgia with weapons could entail a new military conflict
VLADIVOSTOK. 27 August. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Representative of the Russian Federation in the United Nations Organization Vitaliy Churkin spoke to journalists in headquarters of the UNO in New York. Churkin said that Russia follows the principal of self-determination and is trying to support nations of Abkhazia and South Ossetia to gain independence.
He noticed that USA and European Countries offer a weapon supply to the opponent, Georgia, and promise defence of NATO.
Churkin said that Russia had taken a decision to accept an independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia because the UN resolution had lost its competence in the case of military conflict between Georgia and two regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Earlier, Russia agreed with the UN resolution about territorial integrity of Georgia.
