Vladivostok Hosts Important Math Conference of the Russian Far East
Traditionally leading scientists of Russia take part in the conference
VLADIVOSTOK. 27 August. VOSTOK-MEDIA. August, 29-September, 4, 2008, in the suburbs of Vladivostok will be held an important math conference, greatest in the Russian Far East, - “XXXIII Far Eastern Mathematic School-Seminar named after Academik E.V.Zolotov”.
This conference is traditional for the Russian Far East. This year it is held by Institute of Automatic and Managing Process (FEBRAS) and Institute of Applied Mathematics (FEBRAS) with the support of FEBRAS Presidium and Russian Fund of Fundamental Investigation. More than 100 participants will gather at the picturesque place in the Peter’s the Great Bay, on base of State Marine Preserve “Vostok Bay” to discuss urgent questions in mathematics, mechanics and information technologies.
At the conference leading scientists from all over Russia present their overviews depicting current situation in mentioned fields. Participants represent different scientific centres of Russia: Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Yekaterinburg, Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. There will be plenary and section reports in the following fields: theoretical mathematics, applied mathematics, management and optimization, fundamental and applied mechanics, computer technologies and etc. At the conference will take participation also students of senior courses, aspirants and young research assistants of all Far Eastern Universities and other education establishments.
