VLADIVOSTOK. November 27. VOSTOK-MEDIA – During his on-site meeting, Primorsky Krai Governor Sergey Darkin inspected from the helicopter the progress of road construction in Vladivostok, the construction of bridges over the Golden Horn and to Russky Island as well as the Far Eastern Federal University and Oceanarium on Russky Island.

The Governor was left content with the speed of construction and noted that Vladivostok landscape has already changed for the better and soon will be ready to host APEC-2012 Summit, press service of Primorsky Krai Administration reports.

Considering that the preparations for APEC-2012 summit are in full gear, the transportation infrastructure servicing Vladivostok and southern Primorsky Krai will be upgraded together with a number of major public facilities to be built in Vladivostok and on Russky Island.

The project involves the construction of two bridges, state-of-the-art highways, reconstruction of main urban highways, Khabarovsk-Vladivostok federal highway as well as transportation infrastructure on Russky Island.

Construction of the new roads and renovation of existing ones will create a new scheme of road traffic in Vladivostok and will notably shorten the time of driving from one part of the city to another.
