Pacific Meridian to Present Singaporean Cinematograph in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. April 27. VOSTOK MEDIA. - Singaporean cinematograph will be presented during the 6th International Film Festival Pacific Meridian which will be held in Vladivostok from September 13th till 19th. The management of the festival informs that our representative visited the 21st edition of Singapore International Film Festival and brought some films of Singaporean film-makers.
We should point out that during three years one of the most important events for our cinema is the acquaintance with the cinema of Asia-Pacific counties. In 2006 it was the Chinese cinematograph and in 2007 it was Japanese one. This year we have the “Singapore in the focus” program. The organizers of the Film Festival note that the films of Singaporean cinematograph can be seen only during Pacific Meridian.
Over 200 films will take part in the Film Festival. Among the prospective participants there are film-makers from 31 different countries. The work of film selection for the program of 6th International Film Festival of Asian-Pacific countries began in March. The order taking from the film directors will continue till June 20.
