Special European Union Summit Without Michail Saakashvili

VLADIVOSTOK. 28 August. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Chairing in the European Union, France blocked initiative of Poland and Baltic States to invite Georgian president Michail Saakashvili to the special Summit of EU, September, 1.
“Saakashvili will not be presented at the Summit”, - said an official from the European Council Secretariat. Leaders of European countries and governments were called together by French President Nikolas Sarkozy under appeal of Poland and other East Europe countries. They will discuss situation in Georgia and policy of EU toward Russia.
1 day Summit will take 3 hours and leaders of all 27 delegations will have to speak for such a short time.
