Auction of Mammoth Tusk In Yakutia

YAKUTSK. 28 November. VOSTOK-MEDIA. On November, 30 The V International Auction of Mammoth Tusk will take place in Yakutsk. It is held according to the President’s Decree “A special status of the natural resources: fossil mammoth relics and the regulation of relics on the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)”.
The main goal of the annual auctions is to legalize the circulation of mammoth tusks, regulation of the real prices on mammoth tusks and raising of population’s incomes.
6 mineral developers from Yakutia that have license on extracting mammoth tusks are expected to take participation at the Auction.
The customers are supposed to be 8 corporate entities and individual persons from Yakutia, Moscow and Magadan involved in the mammoth business. There will be producers of tusk carvers.
Exhibition will displace the collection of mammoth tusks and sorted natural resources.
